Lift Truck / Forklift

Powered industrial truck accidents cause approximately 100 fatalities and 36,340 serious injuries in general and construction annually. It is estimated that 10-15% of the accidents are, at least in part, caused by inadequate training.

Aerial

Approximately 26 construction workers die on aerial lifts annually. Because so many workers are injured or killed on aerial lifts every year, training is required. Only trained and authorized persons are allowed to operate an aerial lift.

OSHA defines an aerial lift as any vehicle-mounted device used to elevate personnel.
